Things to Do in Charleston
We are so excited to have you in Charleston. These are some of our go-to spots if you have a little time to explore, eat, and just enjoy the weekend.
Charleston is a wonderful place just to stroll around and get lost. You truly can't go wrong!
Explore & Stroll
Sullivan’s Island
Our favorite local beach. Grab lunch at Poe’s Tavern and then take a walk along the beach.
Shem Creek
Waterfront views and a fun, easy lunch spot. We love Tavern & Table and Saltwater Cowboys (get the nachos).
Colonial Lake
Lovely and peaceful walking loops downtown. Stop by Alcove Market for coffee or a quick bite before or after.
Hampton Park
A beautiful park downtown, perfect for a picnic or a relaxed walk. Pop over to Berkeleys for lunch before or after.
Charleston City Market
Great to see if it’s your first time in Charleston! Easy to walk through and right in the middle of everything.
King Street
Main Street downtown for shopping, strolling, and popping in and out of restaurants and stores,
The Battery & Rainbow Row
Walk along The Battery for beautiful waterfront views, historic homes, and then head over to Rainbow Row for the classic pastel houses. The Battery is also a great place for a picnic! We recommend starting at the Pineapple Fountain and making your way along the Battery.
